Advocacy for Autism

“Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one's potential.”

How to Identify and Effectively Deal with Challenging Behaviors

Author and educator, Debra Dilley Rosen will present a complimentary workshop on “How to Identify and Effectively Deal with Challenging Behaviors”. Ms. Rosen has worked in education for over twenty-five years, giving her the unique perspective of a parent who needs to walk within the system set in place for a special needs child, as well as the insight of an administrator who has helped shape that very system. Ms. Rosen has grappled with the laws and organizations, and conveys her experience with dignity and integrity, knowing it is crucial for a parent to understand their rights and options. She believes autism is a challenge, but is manageable.

Please join us for this very special workshop on Monday, August 20th from 7-8:30 p.m. at Temple Beth Israel, 3033 N. Towne Avenue, Pomona. Ms. Rosen will also be signing her book, “Inspiration for Autism”.

This training will describe different types of AAC systems and how they may benefit specific individuals.
